There is an article on our ‘Milly’ The Police Panda Car in the next edition of ‘Minor Matters’ magazine. The magazine is quarterly and given free to members of The Morris Minor Owners Club.

When you join the club you can receive a  10 percent discounts on parts with such companies as Bull Motif. I normally end up saying Bull Mastif by mistake! I have found their service very good, efficient and prompt delivery. No parts that I have ordered have ever gone missing.

They also have a good mini parts section, as most of you will know they were both designed by Issy, and one can use many mini parts on the minor. When Milly was picked out as one of ten vehicles for a special place at the Goodwood Revival by Sir Stirling Moss, I was reminded of this fact  by Sir Stirling,  when he and his wife  came to visit us  in the specially designed paddock.

Steve Miller & Chris James Insurance had  recreated a most wonderful drive in movie with the ten cars handpicked by Sir Stirling. They were placed  facing in towards the large movie screen. The screen looked like a 1950’s TV set and even had knobs that turned and thin teak looking legs.

Getting back to  ‘Minor Matters’ and The Morris Minor Owners Club  it is well worth joining for their  great  illustrated articles. They go through the car project by project; such as brake conversion, bodywork  etc. They are also in colour , which is extremely helpful when looking at ‘before and after’ images’, now you see the rust, now you don’t!
